Recognition


FNMH has received wide recognition for its work in each area of activity. It is respected for the quality of its architectural and interiors work. One of its residential projects, the Husains Residence Karachi, was nominated for the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture for its 2001 cycle. The books “100+1 Pakistani Architects and their own Houses”, by Mukhtar Husain, and “Karachiwala: a subcontinent within a city”, by Rumana Husain, have been widely acclaimed and continue to be popular at all bookshops in the country, and also sell regularly abroad.

Mukhtar and Rumana have been interviewed for television and print, and their work has been reviewed in architectural and art journals, as well as in the general press.
